Texas Weaver Spider
We found a huge Weaver Spider on Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio when we were in training with the Army. It's body including legs were about the size of an average CD or DVD. We picked up a live grasshopper, threw it in the web and watched this massive spider go into action mode:
